PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
GRAHAM COPE
The 2011 soccer season has come to an end!
The last round of games in the fall season took place October 8th.
Now is an appropriate time to extend my thanks to all the volunteers who made the 2011 season
such a special one for the more than 3500 players who registered for soccer this year.
It is the team managers and coaches who, year after year, contribute their time tirelessly for the benefit of our children and
it is they who are the priceless ingredients in the delivery of our program. Without their commitment and dedication there simply
would be no KYSA and no place for our youngsters to play our great game in an organized and disciplined fashion.
It is also a fitting time to extend my thanks to my colleagues on the KYSA board for their time and effort in trying to ensure our
players have a great time learning the rudiments of the game and competing throughout the year for annual bragging rights. It must
be remembered that they, too, are volunteers who in many cases coach teams as well as serve on the board.
I am pleased with the direction KYSA is heading. However, the board and our hard working staff believe there is still much to
do before we are satisfied that the association is running efficiently and effectively in all areas.
We will continue to strive to reach new heights in the organization over the winter months leading to preparations
for the 2012 season. I do hope that we will be able to count on the support of those of you who made this season such a
great one for all our members!
